Cost of food and drinks to be refunded on the presentation of the receipts.
  • What are the provisioning options like in Grenada?
Whilst you may not find all you are used to in the USA or Europe, Grenada offers one of the best provisioning option in the Windward islands and certainly in the Grenadines area so do not hesitate to stock up before you depart the base for your cruise. Here are some of our go-to shops when we provision – Luckily, they are all located a short driving distance from our base and you can also ask to most of them to deliver to the boat/marina on your departure day: Real Value IGA Supermarket: by far the best stocked supermarket in Grenada – I usually go there to avoid having to go around several shops: https://www.realvalueiga.com Pasta y Vino: for fresh pasta and Italian wines, Le Marquis complex, Grenada- https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100082944291652 Le Boucher: French butcher shop where you can find meat and homemade sausages as well as imported French cheeses, cold cuts and wines. If you are early (or order the day before) you can even get French baguettes! This shop is located at our base so it is very easy to shop here and get your product delivered to the boat. Products can be vacuum packed, which is perfect for cruising: https://www.facebook.com/LeBoucherGrenada Dockside Mini Mart: located at our base, this well stocked mini supermarket is ideal for your last-minute shopping before boarding your cruise. They also sell ice in bags as well as delicious home cooked ready-made meals: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083074095336 North-South Wines: probably the best stocked wine and spirits importers in Grenada, they are located near our base and also will take orders over the phone and deliver to the boat for your convenience: http://www.northsouthwines.com Meat and Meet: A little further out but worse the visit for their pre-cooked food and sauces: http://www.meatandmeetmarket.com Gourmet Guru: when we sail, we like to order a bunch a ready-made meal which we can just warm up in the oven and serve! I highly recommend the services of Debbie at Gourmet Guru. She is an excellent cook but also pack and pre-freeze her delicious dishes on request, which is perfect for sailing. She also can deliver to the boat before you departure – contact her to get her up-to-date menu https://www.facebook.com/dgourmetguru When provisioning, don’t forget that you will find fresh fruits and vegetables from small vendors along the way. No need to take too many at once, especially since they ripe quickly onboard. You will also want to take some meals at restaurants along the way – Tim Garraway at Anse la Roche in Carriacou or Romeo on the Tobago Cays offer amazing lobster lunch on the beach – Tyrrel Bay in Carriacou and Union Island also have a fair share of nice restaurants.
